Nikki Anderson-Joy is an costume designer based in Oakland.

She graduated from the Academy of Art University in 2014 and since has assisted costume designers in the Bay. Recently designing  with the African American Shakespeare Company for Jitney and Cinderella, Antone Wells Theatre Company This Wide Night.  When not designing she is a costume assistant at the San Francisco Opera Costume Shop. Her upcoming design work will be at the New Conservatory Theatre Center with The Mystery of Love and Sex.

In her past time Nikki loves to illustrate. For her she thinks it communicates the way she sees San Francisco,  Simple But Complex.  Her distinct style is to create a composition in black and white using the matter of line to tell the story. Deep down, it is up to the viewer to know what is seen.
